Do demoncrats represent you?
I'd like to know just who these demoncrats are representing...
They think the US was wrong to interrogate the terrorist prisoners of war, even though BHO's National Security Director said the intel they got prevented attacks on the US. They are planning to prosecute the people that ok'd the so-called torture. Did they forget 9-11-2001? or did they think it was okay, and we shouldn't pour water on the terrorists to get information from them? Are the terrorists more important than Americans? The way they're talking, it sure seems that way. I dont' feel that way - do you?
The demoncrats are pushing cap-and-trade, which will increase the price of everything that uses electricity, oil and gas... in other words, everything. They think that's going to stimulate the economy? Are they as stupid as they sound? Are you stupid enough to agree with them?
How long will they keep up this global warming farce? Don't they use facts? Have they every heard of sunspots? How stupid are they? How stupid are the vast number of lemmings who continue to swallow that climate change crap?
Yet they still ignore the corruption by Senator Feinstein of California... I just don't understand where their priorities are... They still have a tax cheat running the IRS... They still won't arrest or prosecute or deport illegal aliens, like BHO's aunt (and she's been ordered out of the country TWICE!)

If we dramatically raise the rates of electricity we will not be competitive when it comes to building anything," Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich."
But the demoncrats are trying to spin this into an even swap: "Chu acknowledged that limits on greenhouse gases would increase energy production costs _ both gasoline and electricity _ but he said overall consumer energy bills would not increase because the legislation also is designed to spur increased efficiency. "Costs would actually be held constant," he maintained."
So here's where the truth comes out: "The administration's energy cost estimates are based on the government distributing 40 percent of the money collected from auctioning credits back to households to offset energy-related energy expenses. The House bill has yet to work out a emissions credit allocation proposal."

Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.
Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars.
Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Richard Blum heads as board chairman - had won the competitive bidding for a contract to sell foreclosed properties that FDIC had inherited from failed banks.
About the same time of the contract award, Mr. Blum's private investment firm reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission that it and related affiliates had purchased more than 10 million new shares in CBRE. The shares were purchased for the going price of $3.77; CBRE's stock closed Monday at $5.14.

That's why they are called "illegal"...
The responsibility of the government is to prevent or stop crime against the nation and its people - so why aren't you arresting the criminals?
Why are you rewarding the criminals with medical care, education, etc.?
Until you change the law, you are responsible to enforce the law. If you can't or refuse to live up to your responsibility, you need to resign.
Your head of the Department of Homeland Security is not doing her job, either, is committing treason against the United States and needs to be fired. That is also your responsibility - if you shirk this responsibility, you need to resign.
If you have any sense of honor at all, you need to resign... now.

I started this blog as a way to vent my frustration and disgust with the election and presidency of BHO, coupled with the demoncrat majorities in the House and Senate. Hardly a day passes that they don't do or talk about something that damages our country. It is such a frequent occurance, I am getting depressed. But I must continue, lest we forget in 2010, when we have a chance to take our country back and try to save it from this liberal demoncrat destruction.
BHO bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. He embarassed us again in front of the entire world.
He apologized for America's "arrogance". If he is ashamed of the US, he should leave.
BHO told the people of Turkey that the US is not a Christian nation. Obviously, he doesn't know the history of the US.
I've written to the White House from http://www.whitehouse.gov/ (from the contact us link) and told him about his screw-ups. I suggested that he do the honorable thing and resign. If he was a man of reason, a man of honor (I know - that's a stretch to imagine), a real American, he would realize that his change is the wrong change. That there would be more honor in resigning than reversing course.
Seriously, BHO, you suck as a president. You are not qualified for the job and you should quit.
The Congressional Black Caucus, the last racist group in the House, visited with the commies in Cuba. They came back and said we need to work to normalize relations. Hey, you seditionists - have you bothered to learn any history? Should we just ignore 40+ years of the worst human rights record next to China? Pelosi, of course, sanctioned their trip (and waste of taxpayer dollars). They are following the lead of their idol, the ignorant BHO, by sucking up to the leaders of hostile neighbors. The media is owned by the liberal demoncrats and they are leading the ignorant like lemmings behind a false king. What has happened to the consciousness and conscience of these people?

BHO apologized to France and the Europeans for the United States for "arrogance" and "devisiveness", in a town hall meeting in France. Screw you, BHO! The largest increase in tobacco taxes took effect despite Obama's promise not to raise taxes of any kind on families earning under $250,000 or individuals under $200,000.

To be sure, Obama's tax promises in last year's campaign were most often made in the context of income taxes. Not always.
"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."
He repeatedly vowed "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime."
Now in office, Obama, who stopped smoking but has admitted he slips now and then, signed a law raising the tobacco tax 62 cents on a pack of cigarettes, to $1.01. Other tobacco products saw saw similar or much steeper increases."

"WASHINGTON (AP) — One of President Barack Obama's campaign pledges on taxes went up in puffs of smoke Wednesday.
The largest increase in tobacco taxes took effect despite Obama's promise not to raise taxes of any kind on families earning under $250,000 or individuals under $200,000.
This is one tax that disproportionately affects the poor, who are more likely to smoke than the rich.
To be sure, Obama's tax promises in last year's campaign were most often made in the context of income taxes. Not always.
"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."
He repeatedly vowed "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime."
Now in office, Obama, who stopped smoking but has admitted he slips now and then, signed a law raising the tobacco tax 62 cents on a pack of cigarettes, to $1.01. Other tobacco products saw saw similar or much steeper increases."

Absolutely ridiculous!
California is considering a ban on black cars. Really? No black cars, because they use more energy for air conditioning? Seriously, you Californians are some silly people! What will you do next, paint all the roads white?
Here's an idea being considered in the demoncrat circles: release prisoners of war, enemy combatants, muslim terrorist criminals now at Gitmo, INTO the US and give them money "to get started". Please - take more drugs - you are already high - please take more until you fall asleep and can't ruin this country any worse!
The scariest thing coming down the road: the UN's replacement for the ridiculous Kyoto Protocol is even worse. It will drive the US and the world into a depression unlike any ever imagined. They want to tax anything that uses fossil fuels to levels that will force them out of use - with no replacement available in the foreseeable future - this will put us in the dark forever. It's absolute madness!

Newspaper going out of business - bailout? NO!
Bail out newspapers? Not only no, but HELL NO!
Newspapers are dinosaurs - they are being replaced by electronic information. Their demise is simply a fact of technology. Toaster ovens are gone because of microwaves. Video tapes are gone because of DVD's. Albums and cassette tapes are gone because of CD's. The examples are nearly endless. Newspapers are no longer needed, should not get a dime of taxpayer money and need to change and adapt or go out of business. Simple market-based economic rules here.
I personally get my news from TV, the computer and my Blackberry. I've read one newspaper in the last six months. There is no reason to "save" newspapers. Good bye!

The dismantling of America continues...
IBM is laying off another 5,000 Americans and moving the jobs to India. I sent them a letter, to an address I found on their website, contact page: ews@us.ibm.com. Guess where it was read? Yup, India. This is not just about IBM (the bastards!), this is symptomatic in the US. This needs to be fixed - here's how: levy a tax on every company for every job it moves overseas (which will make a lot of companies lie about layoffs - tax them too) and give a tax break to every company for every job it creates in the US.
The head of the Department of Homeland Security doesn't want to use the word terrorism anymore, preferring "man-made disasters". Does this head-in-the-sand idiot demoncrat make you feel safer?
The news today reports that every man, woman and child in the US bears over $22,000 in government debt. It's only going to get worse, unless we stop them!
Some parents in Florida are suing a school because they taught 3rd-graders the words to Diamond Rio's song, In God We Still Trust, because it makes reference to God. They must be demoncrats, trying to get money for nothing. Yes, we have separation of Church and State. Yes, we are guaranteed freedom of religion - but it's not freedom FROM religion! If you want absolute freedom from religion, move to France! You cannot re-write history - this country was founded for religious freedom and it will STAY that way. If you don't like it, execise your freedom to MOVE OUT!
This is the funniest thing I've heard all day: Feinstein, the demoncrat senator from California, the green-brainless boil on the US map, is going to prevent the construction of solar and wind power plants in the desert - because of the hazard to the habitat of the dirt-dwellers! You can't have it both ways, you moron! Your state mandates renewable energy, then you want to block it from being built! LOL!

It's time to stop the madness!
Thus far, I've been recording the evil deeds of the demoncrats, so we remember their true colors in 2010 and beyond. Now I'd like to offer alternative solutions and encourage positive change, instead of promulgating the dread of the foreseeable future.
We are spending our way to disaster, according to the CBO, but it’s not too late to reverse the course.
There are stimulus things that will have a return, but many don’t – please focus on those that will be paid back and not just become a larger tax burden to the next generations.
Don’t increase welfare spending – spend more on job and skills training.
Don’t tax the oil and gas industries, which will increase everyone’s taxes – encourage more domestic production, to employ more people and strengthen our national security while reducing funding to hostile nations.
We throw away enough (renewable) fuel for 600+ Waste-to-Energy power plants – build plants to employ people, increase recycling, reduce coal-fueled electricity generation and get a return on the stimulus money. Build them at existing landfills, where the fuel is already being delivered. Stop filling landfills (which causes groundwater and air pollution).
Make bailout loans available to people, to pay off credit cards. This will add to the money banks have to lend, reduce the next financial crisis in credit card defaults, will free up money in family budgets and stimulate the economy. Have loans paid back with income tax refunds. Charge a nominal interest rate so the impact on the national debt decreases. If I paid off a $10,000 credit card, $300 per month gets freed up in my family’s budget, which could mean the difference in making house/car/credit card payments and will give me money to spend in the economy. Multiply that by 20 million people and think of the potential!
Don’t tax health care benefits, don’t give away health care – encourage employers (with tax breaks) to provide health care – this encourages people to work.
Stop the giveaways – when people get money and health care for free, they lose their incentive to work or start a business. Don’t increase unemployment benefits, tie the benefits to employment. Give people incentives to work! More people working means more people paying taxes instead of taxes paying for people.
Stop illegal immigration and deal with the illegal immigrants. Don’t spend money to provide for them (giving more incentives to break the law), spend the money to control immigration and enforce the existing laws. It is a logical choice!
We can’t wait for hybrid cars – employ people to convert existing cars to natural gas and build fueling stations.
The United States is still on an economic downward spiral – it’s not too late to reverse it!

NOT enemy combatants? Try prisoners of war!
The detainees at GITMO are prisoners of war, until the war on terror is over. All we are required to do is to treat them according to the Geneva Convention. They don't deserve any consititutional rights or due process or Miranda rights. They are the enemy, removed from the battlefield and should be detained until Al Qaeda and the Taliban surrender.
Those previously freed have rejoined the war, killing our military. That blood is on YOUR hands, BHO. Are you prepared for more?
Only a muslim sympathizer would free those prisoners of war.
It's not too smart to order the closure of the prison without the war being over or having a reasonable disposition for the prisoners.

Who is the biggest earmarker of them all? According to Taxpayers for Common Sense, Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., takes the cake, with 60 earmarks worth $123 million in the latest spending bill before the Senate.
But he's hardly alone. The budget watchdog group has released its latest list breaking down the earmarks, lawmaker-by-lawmaker, in the $410 billion bill set to come up for a vote by the end of the day. The bill would fund the government through the end of the fiscal year, with an 8.5 percent increase over last year and billions of dollars in pet projects.

Summary: BHO ruining the USA
BHO is turning the country into a socialist state by taking from the earners and giving to the non-earners. Welfare is being increased and taxes are being raised. He is courting muslim terrorists. He is lying and breaking promises on a weekly or daily basis.
The country doesn't want and can't afford universal health care, so he's implementing it a piece at a time, slipping it past people too stupid to realize it or too stupid to care. He's going to raise taxes even more to pay for it.
BHO is going to reduce the deduction for charitable contributions, which one study estimates will reduce giving by almost half by those affected. This will hurt more people, so the government will have to step in and spend more money to take up the slack.
This country is in serious trouble, yet BHO wants to give the Palestinians at least $900 million dollars to rebuild after "the Isreali offensive". It wasn't an offensive, it was a defensive retaliation. You can bet your bottom dollar that the Hamas terrorists will get their hands on it.
Iran continues to work towards nuclear weapons to use against Isreal and the West. Only a complete idiot would believe they are working toward nuclear power plants. To be in the world community, you have to be a good neighbor. Iran is neither and needs to be stopped, regardless of what it takes. All terrorists need to be eliminated, including Hamas, Taliban and the Iranian regime.
The unions will continue to destroy business in America, with BHO pushing for open voting, which will allow unions to coerce people into voting for a union. Unions are bad for business and corrupt, as bad as any Chicago political group. Just look what they've done to the steel industry and many, many others. How unions can convince their members that "no job" is better than wage concessions is beyond me - the members can't all be that stupid. The only unions with any sense are in the airlines - less money is better than no money, right?
Since BHO took office, the markets are down over 20%. The "change" President is destroying wealth. Let me keep my money - you can keep the change.
Stimulus should help the economy, should be temporary, and should have the chance of being paid back. Welfare is none of that. Loan people money to pay off credit cards - that gives people money to spend, gives the banks money to loan again and gets paid back with interest. That would work. Create jobs by building waste-to-energy plants (we have the fuel for 600+ new power plants) and drilling for domestic oil and gas (we have $2 to $4 Trillion worth in this country) - these industries would put people to work and profits pay back the stimulus investment with interest.
BHO says he's going to halve the deficit in four years - but he's already doubled in in his first two months in office! One way he proposes to raise taxes is the cap-and-trade tax on carbon, which will actually add taxes to electricity, gasoline, oil and gas - effectively raising taxes on EVERYONE!
The media has lost its credibility - the vast majority of the media has become nothing more than a mouthpice for the the liberal/socialist demoncrat spin machine. If I was a journalist, I'd be looking for a new career, rather than give up my integrity and my morals to keep the job.
BHO has picked a few tax cheats for his administration, and even appointed one to head the IRS. That's like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse. If we just had the political elites (demoncrats AND republicans) audited, we could bring billions of overdue tax dollars into the treasury.
The ruination of this country must stop! I don't know if we will survive until 2010 when we can change the congress.
I always say "don't complain about something unless you have a solution". So here's mine:
Un-elect the demoncrats, starting with Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, in two years. Un-elect BHO in four years.
Bring welfare reform back - invest in processes and industries that will pay for themselves (as mentioned earlier).

The country doesn't want and can't afford universal health care, so he's implementing it a piece at a time, slipping it past people too stupid to realize it or too stupid to care. He's going to raise taxes even more to pay for it.
BHO is going to reduce the deduction for charitable contributions, which one study estimates will reduce giving by almost half by those affected. This will hurt more people, so the government will have to step in and spend more money to take up the slack.
This country is in serious trouble, yet BHO wants to give the Palestinians at least $900 million dollars to rebuild after "the Isreali offensive". It wasn't an offensive, it was a defensive retaliation. You can bet your bottom dollar that the Hamas terrorists will get their hands on it.
Iran continues to work towards nuclear weapons to use against Isreal and the West. Only a complete idiot would believe they are working toward nuclear power plants. To be in the world community, you have to be a good neighbor. Iran is neither and needs to be stopped, regardless of what it takes. All terrorists need to be eliminated, including Hamas, Taliban and the Iranian regime.
The unions will continue to destroy business in America, with BHO pushing for open voting, which will allow unions to coerce people into voting for a union. Unions are bad for business and corrupt, as bad as any Chicago political group. Just look what they've done to the steel industry and many, many others. How unions can convince their members that "no job" is better than wage concessions is beyond me - the members can't all be that stupid. The only unions with any sense are in the airlines - less money is better than no money, right?
Since BHO took office, the markets are down over 20%. The "change" President is destroying wealth. Let me keep my money - you can keep the change.
Stimulus should help the economy, should be temporary, and should have the chance of being paid back. Welfare is none of that. Loan people money to pay off credit cards - that gives people money to spend, gives the banks money to loan again and gets paid back with interest. That would work. Create jobs by building waste-to-energy plants (we have the fuel for 600+ new power plants) and drilling for domestic oil and gas (we have $2 to $4 Trillion worth in this country) - these industries would put people to work and profits pay back the stimulus investment with interest.
BHO says he's going to halve the deficit in four years - but he's already doubled in in his first two months in office! One way he proposes to raise taxes is the cap-and-trade tax on carbon, which will actually add taxes to electricity, gasoline, oil and gas - effectively raising taxes on EVERYONE!
The media has lost its credibility - the vast majority of the media has become nothing more than a mouthpice for the the liberal/socialist demoncrat spin machine. If I was a journalist, I'd be looking for a new career, rather than give up my integrity and my morals to keep the job.
BHO has picked a few tax cheats for his administration, and even appointed one to head the IRS. That's like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse. If we just had the political elites (demoncrats AND republicans) audited, we could bring billions of overdue tax dollars into the treasury.
The ruination of this country must stop! I don't know if we will survive until 2010 when we can change the congress.
I always say "don't complain about something unless you have a solution". So here's mine:
Un-elect the demoncrats, starting with Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, in two years. Un-elect BHO in four years.

More lies! BHO = LIAR!!!
BHO promised an end to the pork, the earmarks, the irresponsible spending. LIAR!!!
His current budget will spend MILLIONS on pork. His staff tried to explain it away as "last year's business" and "we're going to start fresh next year". If it's last year's, it's too late! Why waste more money this year - stop it now! They really must think we're idiots!
How can he be believed in the future after his broken promises? He said there would be no pork, there is pork. He said there would be no lobbyists in his administration, there are lobbyists.
How is he any different than Blogojevich? Nixon? Spitzer? Any other notorious liar?
He also promised 95% of the people would have a tax cut or no increase in taxes. 40% of people don't pay taxes - they are not getting a tax cut, they are getting a gift (of our money and our children's money). He's talking about reducing the deductions for mortgage interest and charitable contributions - this is the same as raising taxes. He's planning to increase the tax rate on dividends. People who make less that $250K/year earn dividends too - our taxes are going up. LIAR!!!!

"Spread the Wealth": the plan is working...
BHO is sticking with his demonic plan to spread the wealth. He's doing it steathily, a little at a time, hoping we don't notice.
With his pork-filled stimulus, he's growing welfare by over $100 Billion/year, starting this year, in addition to growing unemployment benefits (this is especially nasty, because he is setting the states up for raising taxes when the stimulus money runs out, in order for them to keep paying it).
Now he's talking about cutting the deficit by half in four years by letting the Bush tax cuts expire (tax rates that were cut on >$250K/year, dividends, death taxes) and other things, some that actually make sense, if he can get the demoncrats in Congress to go along (fat chance of that happening!).
Give more to the poor, take more from the rich. Spread the wealth. It's working, just according to his plan.

A well-respected and experienced financial guy, Rick Santelli, voiced a very popular sentiment on the air last week, reporting as he does every day from the Chicago Merc, on CNBC:
With an allusion to communist Cuba and traders around him voicing their support, Santelli said from the Chicago Board of Trade floor early Thursday on CNBC: "This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbors' mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can't pay their bills? ... President Obama, are you listening?"
The response from the White House: "At his briefing Friday, Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs shot back—hard—likely out of concern for the traction the so-called Rick's Revolt could gain. "I feel assured that Mr. Santelli doesn't know what he's talking about," Gibbs said."
Here's the rub: Santelli DOES know what he's talking about. He is an expert in the field. He has proven that with 14 years of reporting on the financial markets. Robert Gibbs is an idiot.
What does this say about the White House?

We need to remember, and make them pay!
Pelosi and seven other demoncrat congressmen took a government plane to Italy right after forcing the stimulus bill through the Congress. The senate made one member fly back to Washington between his mother's wake and funeral to vote on the bill. These demoncrats are heartless, soul-less animals - they don't care about the people - they don't care about their colleagues in the House.
BHO has broken his promise that people would be able to see a bill before he signed it - it has not happened. It was such an emergency to get this passed, but he decided to make a show of signing the thing in Denver FOUR days after it passed. If it was such an emergency, why didn't he sign it Friday night?
What are they thinking??? The demoncrats are playing stupid politics and have put this country is serious danger with this bill; they crafted it in secret and didn't give the people voting on it time to read it!
We DO NOT want socialism in this country, but these idiot demoncrats are trying to take us there - we have to stop them!

The average American has $9200 in credit card debt. With an interest rate of 10% and a minimum payment of 2%, it will take 65 months to pay off the average card for $184/month.
What if the government took a few billion from the stimulus bill welfare juice and loaned average Americans enough to pay off their credit cards? They could offer a 5% interest rate and deduct payments from income tax refunds. This would loosen up the country's spenders and improve the economy. Not only that, the government would actually make a return on the money.
There would have to be limitations, of course. Bankruptcy would not eliminate the debt. The maximum loan would be 10% or 15% of the taxpayers income.
Banks would get paid back the lions share of the money tied up in customers credit cards, and have money to lend out again, boosting the economy.
Let's talk about it.

Fairness doctrine - demoncrats can't win fairly

Stimulus, schmimulus!
"Timely, targeted and temporary" are the words BHO used to describe what would be in the crapulus bill. The plan would pump $185 billion into the economy this year and $399 billion next year, the agency said. That is NOT timely. It's targeted toward expanding government and government buying the votes of the poor. $584 billion in the this year and next leaves $207 billion to be spent in 2011 and beyond - that's NOT temporary!
$13 per week. $52 per month. That's the stimulus for the average working person. $13. That starts in June, and in January, 2010, that is reduced to $8. Timely? No. Temporary? Yes. Effective? That's a freakin' joke.
BHO, Pelosi and Reid think that working people don't need more than $13/week, but that welfare should be increased by over $100,000,000,000 (that's billion) this year!
We are BORROWING this money! We'll be paying this for our lives and our children will be paying for it for the rest of their lives! WTF are those demoncrats thinking???

Daschle also knew it was wrong for the country - he encouraged the next president to sneak it into the next budget bill. It's dirty politics, plain and simple.
The bill was stripped of a requirement that would require contractors use the e-verify system. This will open the door for as many as 300,000 (or more) jobs for illegal aliens. This is supposed to be a bill to help Americans!
One thing that should have been addressed is the shameful H1b visas, which allow foreigners to come to the country because there is a supposed lack of qualified Americans. This claim is a pure lie - the companies that use H1b people do so only to pay lower wages.
Immigrants, whether illegal or H1b, working in the US send the majority of their take-home pay to their home country - that doesn't help the US economy at all.
How do you demoncrats sleep at night???

He then granted himself a waiver of his order within days by nominating a lobbyist for Deputy Defence Director, William Lynn! FLIP-FLOP, FLIP-FLOP, FLIP-FLOP!
In 2010, we need to replace as many of the demoncrat flip-floppers as possible!

Demoncrats and taxes (or not)
I'm beginning to see a pattern of demoncrats NOT paying taxes until they get caught.
Rep. Rangle failed to pay taxes on rental income for years, until he got caught. He paid the taxes, but no penalties.
Timothy Geitner failed to pay taxes until he got caught, now he's going to be in charge of collecting everyone else's taxes. Oh, yeah, and he didn't have to pay any penalties.
Tom Daschle didn't pay taxes for three years, on perks that everyone knows are taxable! So he paid the taxes, after claiming that HE realized it (that's a load of crap - he was told - probably by the IRS). So he paid the taxes and interest, but no penalties. (Update, 02.03.09: Daschle withdrew from consideration for the HHS post, because of the embarrassment from his attempted cheating. Good move, Tom!)
Nancy Killefer withdrew from consideration to be the federal government's chief performance officer -- a new position -- because of her past failure to pay unemployment taxes for household help at her D.C. home.
03.02.09: Another nominee, another tax cheat: (from AP) — "Ron Kirk, nominated as U.S. Trade Representative in the Obama administration, owes an estimated $10,000 in back taxes from earlier in the decade and has agreed to make his payments, the Senate Finance Committee said Monday."

I get the impression that demoncrats think they are above the law - they do crooked stuff until they get caught or picked for a job that will set them up for even bigger personal gains. I'm looking forward to seeing more skeletons coming out of demoncrat closets, because we know they are in there!

Rep. Rangle failed to pay taxes on rental income for years, until he got caught. He paid the taxes, but no penalties.
Timothy Geitner failed to pay taxes until he got caught, now he's going to be in charge of collecting everyone else's taxes. Oh, yeah, and he didn't have to pay any penalties.
Tom Daschle didn't pay taxes for three years, on perks that everyone knows are taxable! So he paid the taxes, after claiming that HE realized it (that's a load of crap - he was told - probably by the IRS). So he paid the taxes and interest, but no penalties. (Update, 02.03.09: Daschle withdrew from consideration for the HHS post, because of the embarrassment from his attempted cheating. Good move, Tom!)
Nancy Killefer withdrew from consideration to be the federal government's chief performance officer -- a new position -- because of her past failure to pay unemployment taxes for household help at her D.C. home.

Pork in the stimulus bill - not creating jobs!
Here's a partial list of the crap the demoncrats have loaded the stimulus bill with:

$650 million for coupons to help people make the switch to digital TV
$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
$150 million for the Smithsonian Institution
$50 million for the National Cemetery Administration's monument and memorial repairs
$800 million for Amtrak, the country's railroad system
$2 billion for child-care subsidies
$400 million for global warming research
$100 million for reducing the danger of lead paint in homes
$2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects
$50 million for NASA facilities that may have been harmed by natural disaster
$200 million for the U.S. Geological Survey to monitor earthquakes and volcanoes
$650 million for the U.S. Forest Service to remove fish passage barriers, forest improvement and watershed enhancement projects
$1.5 million for a National Institute of Health/Institute of Medicine report to Congress
$400 million for the Social Security Administration's new National Computer Center
$325 million for Academic Achievement Awards

If you look at one of my posts below on WtE, you can see that this pork barbeque could build power plants to convert Municipal Solid Waste to electricity and/or gas and/or desalinate water. Tens of thousands of people would be employed to build the plants. Tens of thousands of people would be employed producing and transporting the materials that would be needed to build these plants. Many thousands of people would be employed for decades operating and maintaining the plants.
Here's a novel thought - have the plants built and operated by the TVA (they don't have to be in the southeast), so the government earns back the money spent to build them! Imagine that - a simple solution that pays for itself, increases permanent employment and generates green energy!

The Demoncrat Congressional Campaign committee is having an online petition drive against Rush Limbaugh because he made a comment against BHO.
Big deal? not really, but where were they when idiots like bill maher and michael moore did their Bush bashing?
What will they call for next, restriction of free speech? Bringing back the so-called fairness doctrine? Restriction of freedom of religion? We know they don't like guns, so the demoncrats will try to impinge on our Second Amendment rights.
Message to the demoncrats: put your time and effort into fixing the economy instead of whining about free speech that hurts your feelings! Grow up!

American genocide: abortion. BHO: export it!
This is why I started this blog. To watch the demoncrats and to record their mis-deeds. Here we go again:
BHO will sign an executive order that will allow US funds to pay for abortions in other countries.
Our own brand of genocide, abortion (which has caused over 40 MILLION deaths since Roe V. Wade passed), is now being promoted world-wide. This drives me absolutely nuts!
The mechanism for this murder funding is part of $460 million in aid that we provide to some countries for "family planning". The last three Republican presidents have used executive orders to prevent this money from being used to kill babies; Clinton and BHO have recinded these orders to make it "okay" to use our money for baby-killing. Regardless of your opinion on abortion, the $460 million dollars should stay in the US to pay for insurance for some of the 46 million Americans that don't have it!
According to the demoncrats:
It's not okay to torture terrorists that want to kill us, but it's okay to kill babies.
It's okay to kill babies, but not the little animals and plants that hinder economic growth.
It's not okay for terminally ill people to die with dignity and grace, but it's okay to kill babies.
It's more important that our money be used to kill babies in other countries than to provide health care for Americans!!!

On a related note, why do so many Christians, especially Catholics, vote for demoncrats? Don't they even think about what the demoncrats stand for? The Catholic church doesn't even allow the use of birth control; they march every January in Washington on the anniversary of Roe V. Wade to protest abortion. Yet they vote for demoncrats who make no secret of their desire to support, pay for and promote abortion.

Demoncrats are starting already...
BHO signed an executive order to close the detention center at Gitmo today... without a plan for what to do with the terrorists being held there. Duh! What are you going to do, demoncrats? Let them loose to continue to attack America and western civilization?
Another order was signed to prevent "torture" when interrogating terrorists. They cease to deserve to be treated like humans when they choose to be terrorists. They are less valuable than the lowest life form. It's acceptable for them to torture, dismember, maim and kill their prisoners, followed by dragging their mutilated bodies through the streets, but we can't use a little waterboarding to get valuable infomation? That's just wrong.
If it was up to me, we'd be using sodium pentathol or other truth serum, and every other means of obtaining the information we need. We are at war, here, folks! Quit with the freakin' politics, and ignore the morons in the liberal media and fight to win! What part of that don't you understand, demoncrats!?

I appreciate the job that President Bush did in his eight years in the White House. While I didn't always agree with him (like with free trade agreements, which are neither free nor fair), he was a very good President. His detractors are short-sighted, short-memoried, liberal idiots.

Bush Was Right When It Mattered Most

Its call sign has always been Air Force One. But on Tuesday, it was Special Air Mission 28000, as former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura returned home to Texas on a plane full of family, friends, former staff and memories of eight years in the White House.
The former president and his wife thanked each passenger, showing the thoughtfulness and grace so characteristic of this wonderful American family.
A video tribute produced warm laughter and inevitable tears. There was no bitterness, but rather a sense of gratitude -- gratitude for the opportunity to serve, for able and loyal colleagues, and above all for our country and its people.
Yet, as Mr. Bush left Washington, in a last angry frenzy his critics again distorted his record, maligned his character and repeated untruths about his years in the Oval Office. Nothing they wrote or said changes the essential facts.
To start with, Mr. Bush was right about Iraq. The world is safer without Saddam Hussein in power. And the former president was right to change strategy and surge more U.S. troops.
A legion of critics (including President Barack Obama) claimed it couldn't work. They were wrong. Iraq is now on the mend, the war is on the path to victory, al Qaeda has been dealt a humiliating defeat, and a democracy in the heart of the Arab world is emerging. The success of Mr. Bush's surge made it possible for President Obama to warn terrorists on Tuesday "you cannot outlast us."
Mr. Bush was right to establish a doctrine that holds those who harbor, train and support terrorists as responsible as the terrorists themselves. He was right to take the war on terror abroad instead of waiting until dangers fully materialize here at home. He was right to strengthen the military and intelligence and to create the new tools to monitor the communications of terrorists, freeze their assets, foil their plots, and kill and capture their operators.
These tough decisions -- which became unpopular in certain quarters only when memories of 9/11 began to fade -- kept America safe for seven years and made it possible for Mr. Obama to tell the terrorists on Tuesday "we will defeat you."
Mr. Bush was right to be a unilateralist when it came to combating AIDS in Africa. While world leaders dithered, his President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief initiative brought lifesaving antiretroviral drugs to millions of Africans.
At home, Mr. Bush cut income taxes for every American who pays taxes. He also cut taxes on capital, investment and savings. The result was 52 months of growth and the strongest economy of any developed country.
Mr. Bush was right to match tax cuts with spending restraint. This is a source of dispute, especially among conservatives, but the record is there to see. Bill Clinton's last budget increased domestic nonsecurity discretionary spending by 16%. Mr. Bush cut that to 6.2% growth in his first budget, 5.5% in his second, 4.3% in his third, 2.2% in his fourth, and then below inflation, on average, since. That isn't the sum total of the fiscal record, of course -- but it's a key part of it.
He was right to have modernized Medicare with prescription drug benefits provided through competition, not delivered by government. The program is costing 40% less than projected because market forces dominate and people -- not government -- are making the decisions.
Mr. Bush was right to pass No Child Left Behind (NCLB), requiring states to set up tough accountability systems that measure every child's progress at school. As a result, reading and math scores have risen more in the last five years since NCLB than in the prior 28 years.
He was right to stand for a culture of life. And he was right to appoint conservative judges who strictly interpret the Constitution.
And Mr. Bush, a man of core decency and integrity, was right not to reply in kind when Democratic leaders called him a liar and a loser. The price of trying to change the tone in Washington was to be often pummeled by lesser men.
Few presidents had as many challenges arise during their eight years, had as many tough calls to make in such a partisan-charged environment, or had to act in the face of such hostile media and elite opinion.
On board Special Air Mission 28000, I remembered the picture I carried in my pocket on my first Air Force One flight eight years ago. It was an old black-and-white snapshot with scalloped edges. It showed Lyndon Johnson in the Cabinet Room, head in hand, weeping over a Vietnam casualty report. George Christian, LBJ's press secretary, gave it to me as a reminder that the job could break anyone, no matter how big and tough.
But despite facing challenges and crises few others have, the job did not break George W. Bush. Though older and grayer, his brows more furrowed, he is the same man he was, a person of integrity who did what he believed was right. And he exits knowing he summoned all of his energy and talents to defend America and advance its ideals at home and abroad. He didn't get everything right -- no president does -- but he got the most important things right. And that is enough.

Yet, as Mr. Bush left Washington, in a last angry frenzy his critics again distorted his record, maligned his character and repeated untruths about his years in the Oval Office. Nothing they wrote or said changes the essential facts.
To start with, Mr. Bush was right about Iraq. The world is safer without Saddam Hussein in power. And the former president was right to change strategy and surge more U.S. troops.
A legion of critics (including President Barack Obama) claimed it couldn't work. They were wrong. Iraq is now on the mend, the war is on the path to victory, al Qaeda has been dealt a humiliating defeat, and a democracy in the heart of the Arab world is emerging. The success of Mr. Bush's surge made it possible for President Obama to warn terrorists on Tuesday "you cannot outlast us."
Mr. Bush was right to establish a doctrine that holds those who harbor, train and support terrorists as responsible as the terrorists themselves. He was right to take the war on terror abroad instead of waiting until dangers fully materialize here at home. He was right to strengthen the military and intelligence and to create the new tools to monitor the communications of terrorists, freeze their assets, foil their plots, and kill and capture their operators.
These tough decisions -- which became unpopular in certain quarters only when memories of 9/11 began to fade -- kept America safe for seven years and made it possible for Mr. Obama to tell the terrorists on Tuesday "we will defeat you."
Mr. Bush was right to be a unilateralist when it came to combating AIDS in Africa. While world leaders dithered, his President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief initiative brought lifesaving antiretroviral drugs to millions of Africans.
At home, Mr. Bush cut income taxes for every American who pays taxes. He also cut taxes on capital, investment and savings. The result was 52 months of growth and the strongest economy of any developed country.
Mr. Bush was right to match tax cuts with spending restraint. This is a source of dispute, especially among conservatives, but the record is there to see. Bill Clinton's last budget increased domestic nonsecurity discretionary spending by 16%. Mr. Bush cut that to 6.2% growth in his first budget, 5.5% in his second, 4.3% in his third, 2.2% in his fourth, and then below inflation, on average, since. That isn't the sum total of the fiscal record, of course -- but it's a key part of it.
He was right to have modernized Medicare with prescription drug benefits provided through competition, not delivered by government. The program is costing 40% less than projected because market forces dominate and people -- not government -- are making the decisions.
Mr. Bush was right to pass No Child Left Behind (NCLB), requiring states to set up tough accountability systems that measure every child's progress at school. As a result, reading and math scores have risen more in the last five years since NCLB than in the prior 28 years.
He was right to stand for a culture of life. And he was right to appoint conservative judges who strictly interpret the Constitution.
And Mr. Bush, a man of core decency and integrity, was right not to reply in kind when Democratic leaders called him a liar and a loser. The price of trying to change the tone in Washington was to be often pummeled by lesser men.
Few presidents had as many challenges arise during their eight years, had as many tough calls to make in such a partisan-charged environment, or had to act in the face of such hostile media and elite opinion.
On board Special Air Mission 28000, I remembered the picture I carried in my pocket on my first Air Force One flight eight years ago. It was an old black-and-white snapshot with scalloped edges. It showed Lyndon Johnson in the Cabinet Room, head in hand, weeping over a Vietnam casualty report. George Christian, LBJ's press secretary, gave it to me as a reminder that the job could break anyone, no matter how big and tough.
But despite facing challenges and crises few others have, the job did not break George W. Bush. Though older and grayer, his brows more furrowed, he is the same man he was, a person of integrity who did what he believed was right. And he exits knowing he summoned all of his energy and talents to defend America and advance its ideals at home and abroad. He didn't get everything right -- no president does -- but he got the most important things right. And that is enough.

Short memories: Bush is not solely to blame!
When the US went to war in Iraq, the majority of the Congress and the country supported that decision. It was based on the information we had at the time. It turns out that they either moved the WMD out of the country or the intelligence was wrong. The US screwed things up by trying to run the war from Congress, instead of giving the military a job to do and letting them do it. President Bush did not supply the intelligence, he did not move the WMD out of Iraq and he didn't try to run the military: IT IS NOT HIS FAULT THE WAR HAS TURNED INTO SUCH A MESS! The blame lies with the Demoncrats who politicized the war, restricted funding to the military and trying to run it from Washington, DC.
The housing crisis started with the last demoncrat President we had, when he led the Congress to pass laws that lowered the minimum requirements for a mortgage. People that should not have been given a loan because they were not capable of repaying it were given loans. No one should have been surprised when their houses went into foreclosure. The Congress and that skirt-chasing embarassment of a President (Clinton, for those with the short memories) were told it was going to cause trouble, but they didn't listen. The Congress was told in 2003 that we were headed for trouble, but the demoncrats prevented any corrective measures from being taken. Barney Frank is an idiot - he said Fannie and Freddie were "fine" in 2006. He is either stupid or a liar, or both. Those in Massachusettes who keep electing that moron are just as stupid as he is! IT IS NOT PRESIDENT BUSH'S FAULT THE HOUSING MARKET CRASHED!
This country has lost millions of manufacturing jobs in the last 15 years. The Congress is to blame for incentives and tax breaks to the companies that moved them and for enacting "free trade", which is neither free nor fair. Those companies are to blame for moving them, sacrificing the American people for a few dollars' profit. The American people are to blame. If you own a Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Honda or other import, IT IS YOUR FAULT! Pay attention to what you buy, Americans, because when you buy imported stuff, you hurt the economy and working people in this country - it might be you, someone in your family or your neighborhood. STOP BUYING IMPORTS!

The price of freedom is freedom (?)
The freedoms that the people of the US, Canada, Australia and most European nations have could be having the result of the loss of those very freedoms!
It's a bit of a conundrum - you have the freedom of free speech that allows you to spew hatred (for example, to support Palestine and attack Jews) and soon you will lose that freedom as those who abuse it then gain power. The loud minorities are permitted to say whatever they want, but those that hold to their values are persecuted for repressing free speech!
I will not feel guilty for being a Christian, even as the atheists, muslims and others persecute Christians without restraint (personal or governmental). But when a Christian responds, or expresses an opinion against those evil minorities, they are told to shut up or risk arrest. My daughter was told she couldn't doodle a cross in her notebook in school. There was no problem with doodling a tree, there wouldn't have been a problem with a pentagram or muslim symbol, but she was not allowed to draw a cross. This country was populated and founded by people who were seeking to escape prosecution for their faith, and they happened to be Christian. That is our heritage, and it cannot be changed. We are guaranteed freedom OF religion by the constitution, not freedom FROM religion. You do whatever your want with your faith, but I have the right to practice mine - and I will not be limited to doing so in private!
I will not be persecuted for being proud to be an American, and to display it. I will get hassled, though, if I protest the singing of our National Athem in Spanish. I will protest it, though, you can believe that!
I will not feel guilty for being white, either. Let me be clear on this: I am not prejudiced. I have no ill will against any person based on the color of their skin or their religious choice, or any other element of diversity. But, I have not persecuted anyone for those things, so I will not be made to feel guilty for it either. I am saddened by the bad treatment of Native Americans, blacks, Asians, Jews and every other group/race/people in the past. It was wrong. But I didn't do it, there is nothing I can do to change it, and I will not feel guilt for not being in one of those classes, or for being in the one I am in. Also, I do not believe that anyone in those examples deserve special treatment or reparations for that, either. All people should be treated equally, me included.
We need to protect our freedoms, and not allow the same freedoms to give others the power to restrict ours.
Tolerance is a wonderful thing - but if you don't agree with me, that's fine, but do not be intolerant and try to prevent me from disagreeing with you!
