House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that when receiving briefings as a member of the Intelligence Committee, neither she nor other members of Congress were ever briefed that methods considered to be torture were used.
That contradicts what House Minority Leader John Boehner said at a news conference this morning, where he implied that members of Congress who were briefed on tactics never raised objection.
"We were not told that waterboarding or any of these other interrogation methods were used," Pelosi said flatly at a news conference this afternoon.

Do demoncrats represent you?
I'd like to know just who these demoncrats are representing...
They think the US was wrong to interrogate the terrorist prisoners of war, even though BHO's National Security Director said the intel they got prevented attacks on the US. They are planning to prosecute the people that ok'd the so-called torture. Did they forget 9-11-2001? or did they think it was okay, and we shouldn't pour water on the terrorists to get information from them? Are the terrorists more important than Americans? The way they're talking, it sure seems that way. I dont' feel that way - do you?
The demoncrats are pushing cap-and-trade, which will increase the price of everything that uses electricity, oil and gas... in other words, everything. They think that's going to stimulate the economy? Are they as stupid as they sound? Are you stupid enough to agree with them?
How long will they keep up this global warming farce? Don't they use facts? Have they every heard of sunspots? How stupid are they? How stupid are the vast number of lemmings who continue to swallow that climate change crap?
Yet they still ignore the corruption by Senator Feinstein of California... I just don't understand where their priorities are... They still have a tax cheat running the IRS... They still won't arrest or prosecute or deport illegal aliens, like BHO's aunt (and she's been ordered out of the country TWICE!)
They killed the F-22 program... the best, most advanced fighter jet in the world, ever. Why do they want to weaken the military, and the US? Why do they want to put all those people out of work? Do they represent you? NOT ME!!!
But hey, they're doing something right: BHO directed his cabinet to find $100 million to cut from the budget. wow. big freakin' deal. How about we cut $787 BILLION from the national debt, and recalled the crapulous bill??? Does it make you feel proud that they are going to save $100 million? This is the "scaple" BHO promised to use on the budget? oh, PUH-LEEZ!!!

She knew about the NSA waretapping another demoncrat... did she direct it? what else does she know about? what other lies is she telling? what else is she hiding? What about her own (ignored) corruption - keeping the minimum wage low in American Samoa because her husband employs those people to pick his pineapples? The demoncrats are planning a massive tax increase, disguised as "Cap-and-Trade". From an article at townhall.com:

If we dramatically raise the rates of electricity we will not be competitive when it comes to building anything," Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich."
But the demoncrats are trying to spin this into an even swap: "Chu acknowledged that limits on greenhouse gases would increase energy production costs _ both gasoline and electricity _ but he said overall consumer energy bills would not increase because the legislation also is designed to spur increased efficiency. "Costs would actually be held constant," he maintained."
So here's where the truth comes out: "The administration's energy cost estimates are based on the government distributing 40 percent of the money collected from auctioning credits back to households to offset energy-related energy expenses. The House bill has yet to work out a emissions credit allocation proposal."
So they are going to raise taxes on electricity and gas, increasing the price of EVERYTHING, and give you 40% back in credits, AND WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NO INCREASE IN PRICE!!!

On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.
Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars.
Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Richard Blum heads as board chairman - had won the competitive bidding for a contract to sell foreclosed properties that FDIC had inherited from failed banks.
About the same time of the contract award, Mr. Blum's private investment firm reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission that it and related affiliates had purchased more than 10 million new shares in CBRE. The shares were purchased for the going price of $3.77; CBRE's stock closed Monday at $5.14.
