What's up with the Muslims? or Islam?

Most government and media label Islam as a peaceful religion, yet the fanatical muslims are the ones responsible for the vast majority of terrorism of the last twenty-thrity years.

(The only exceptions I can think of are Timothy McVeigh and the anthrax-mailer.)

Where is the outrage of the so-called 'peaceful' muslims?

The Taliban in Afghanistan are shooting girls in schools, threatening to blow up girls schools, refusing to vaccinate children against polio, and are the ones that have killed more muslims than anyone else. They randomly lob artillery and bombs into Isreal. They attack and blow up hotels, embassies and random mosques. Why don't the 'peaceful' muslims do something about it?

Where is CAIR (council on American-islamic relations)? Oh, yeah, they are raising money to fund the terrorism. They should at least make an attempt at showing they are against killing innocent civilians, muslim or not. Believe it or not, their website contains this statement: "Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy and forgiveness that should not be associated with acts of violence against the innocent."

How can the terrorists call themselves muslims if this is what they believe? Where are the imams and ayatollahs? Shouldn't they be speaking out against the murder by their muslim brothers of other muslims, at least?

Can anyone explain this to me?

Do muslims understand that by staying silent against the terrorists, they condone their actions?

Do they understand that when the rest of the world sees daily terroristic activities conducted by muslims, it is hard for us to believe that this religion is one of peace?

Update, 01.06.09:
Newsflash for Hamas and the Palestinians: your rockets and shelling of Isreal is the cause for your current troubles. Stop the shelling and accept peace with Isreal - it's your choice - it's not a difficult choice to make, and it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to realize it. I guess the centuries of marrying within your families has caused your ability to think rationally worthless...

Automakers fail - unions to blame

The unions are doing it again - killing an American industry.

The bailout has failed because the unions are refusing to give wage concessions. They have no one to blame but themselves!

The Republicans in the Senate are protecting the American taxpayer by making the bailout safer for us, but the unions are messing it up. All they need to do is give back some of the ridiculous wages they make to save their jobs, but for some reason they think that NO pay is better than reduced pay.

Are they really that stupid? Have they never paid attention to the industries that have been decimated and exported by stubborn, stupid unions? If they don't give something, they will lose everything, because the automakers will declare bankruptcy - and this will allow their contracts to be voided. Is there one brain, collectively, among them?

Do they care anything about the millions of people that will also be negatively affected by their greed? Is their pride more important than being responsible and caring for their families and communities?

Kudos to the Republican Senators who are standing up to these greedy idiots, in favor of the American taxpayer.

Kudos to Ford, too. Check out this video of an efficient manufacturing plant in Brazil: http://info.detnews.com/video/index.cfm?id=1189
Like the video says, Ford would love to build one here in the US, but the morons of the UAW won't allow it. Keep working to kill the industry in the US, you dumbasses.

Update, 12.26.08: Just how corrupt and morally deficient is the UAW? How about the fact that they own a golf course in MI that has lost $23 million over the last five years? (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,472304,00.html)

Talk about screwing the membership! If I was stupid enough to be in that union, I'd be pissed! How much better could the union serve the membership with $23 million over five years?

This puts the UAW on the same level as AIG - taking taxpayer money (in the auto bail-out) and squandering money in arrogant, wasteful ways...

Hey UAW - is it your goal to totally screw this country and the people???

Chicago demoncrat corruption: alive and well

BHO says he never talked to the crooked Illinois governor about his vacant Senate seat... BHO's aide says he did, but then retracts the statement. BHO says he had very few dealings with the governor and wasn't aware of his activities. Since when do governors and senators not talk???

Resko was involved with the governor AND BHO... but BHO denies he knew anything about their relationship.

BHO's chief of staff worked with the governor... but BHO denies he knew anything about their relationship.

BHO was/is a friend of Bill Ayers, an admitted, unrepentant American terrorist who got off on a technicality, but BHO was not affected by him. "He was a guy in the neighborhood".

BHO sat under the preaching of a man he described as "like an uncle", Rev. Wright, a racist, anti-American spewer of hate. For 20 years, BHO was a member of his church and listened to his 'sermons', yet claims he was not affected and refutes those disgusting opinions.

I don't believe BHO is being honest with the American people. We deserve to have an honest President. It is our right, bought and paid for by the blood of Americans over the last 232 years.

The whole thing stinks and the American people have been lied to and scammed again by the demoncrat political machine - led by those in Chicago - it looks and smells a little like the mafia, but with the protection of politicians covering each others' backs. Not to mention the liberal, left-wing, sold-out media making excuses for them and not reporting the truth.

In this case, I wholeheartedly believe that the use of sodium pentathol or other truth serum is justified on Resko and Blogejevich (or whatever his name is). Sure, the ACLU would scream about rights, but don't the rights of the population outweigh the rights of a few criminals? The American people have a right to know the truth about elected officials!

More about Waste-to-Energy (WtE)

This is an issue that is not so much about politics, but about economic stimulus, pollution reduction, reducing fossil fuel use, energy generation and improving national security.

The US generated over 254 million tons of trash in 2007, but only used about 30 million tons of that fuel to generate power. Theoretically, we could have 7 times as many of these facilities built, or 500 more of them (there are 87 currently in operation). Let's start with 100 plants, or even 50.

There are a few different technologies available: direct burning, high temperature burning, gasification and others. These plants remove toxic, hazardous and biological wastes in addition to Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). By the way - the EPA classifies MSW as a renewable fuel, because the technology exists and is required for these plants to emit only clean exhaust.

Think about how many people would be employed building 100 power plants... how many people would be employed supplying parts and materials... good paying jobs... tens of thousands? more?

So why aren't we building plants now? One reason is the reluctance of people to have a WtE plant in their town, because the early plants created a bad reputation for being smelly and sources of pollution - this is simply not true any more. The plants can be built at current landfill sites - almost no change at all, except perhaps a little more noise.

What are the other benefits? Did you know that recycling is 10% - 20% higher in communities that have WtE plants? Landfills pollute air and groundwater and the air - WtE plants can eliminate this. If we use the fuel we are currently throwing away, we'd reduce the fossil fuels we currently use. The US generates 3% or our electricity from oil and 50% from coal - replace some or all of those fuels and CO2 pollution is reduced (for those of you who believe that global warming theory).

Some plant designs out there include a desalination capability - turning seawater into freshwater - from the waste heat. Our need for potable water is another subject altogether, but one that needs to be addressed - aquifers are being drained faster than they can be replenished - extended droughts, like the one in Australia, can have tremendous negative consequences.

Look at the business side of these plants. They get paid for take the fuel - waste haulers pay them instead of landfills to take their loads (called tipping fees). In the case of high temperature and gas plasma designs, they collect the higher disposal fees associated with hazardous and biological waste. They make steam and electricity, selling steam to local businesses and electricity to the local power company. They recycle throughout the cycle: paper, glass, plastic, metal, ash, chemical compounds, all of which add to the revenue income. Some plants, traditional incinerators anyway, sift thousands of dollars in coins out of the ash every day!

We need to get busy building!

Good site - About BHO voters...

http://www.howobamagotelected.com/

This site has a video of interviews with people who voted for BHO. They are obviously victims of the liberal media's campaign for BHO. The video shows how dumb some of them are - and it's backed up with the results of a Zogby poll with the same questions.

It's amazing to me how many people care so little about this country that they don't get informed and find out the facts for themselves, they swallowed the whole biased media bullsh*t show.

Don't get the wrong idea, I support the President. I don't want him to fail because if he does, the country fails. But, I am convinced that there was massive fraud in this campaign (>$650 million raised by BHO; ACORN 'voter' registrations, etc.). I am worried about what the liberals in the Congress will do with a liberal in the White House; I don't want BHO to fail, but I have very little confidence that won't. If he fails, I'll print T-shirts:

"If you voted for the demoncrats, it's YOUR fault!"

Demoncrat promise - BHO BS!

"2.5 million new jobs by 2011" said BHO. An aide said new or saved jobs... What a line of bullsh*t! They can't even say the same things... BHO says something and another demoncrat has to 'explain' it... "What he meant to say was..."

"Saved jobs"??? What do you mean - you're successful if more than 2.5 million people are working in 2011? Excuse me - just how stupid do you demoncrats think people are???

Demoncrat economic stimulus is the news this weekend... BHO talked about $175B during the campaign, now they are estimating $300B to $700B to get the economy going again. That may be what it takes to fix the economy, but how are we going to pay for it? Holy crap, that's a lot of money!

We have to watch these people - they are on a dangerous path. We need to remember what they say, and hold it against them in 2010 and 2012.

Automakers looking for demoncrat bailout...

The problem I have is that the automakers are inefficient, bloated, bureaucratic corporations. In spite of that, it would certainly be bad for them to go out of business. I'm in favor of them getting help, but the companies and the unions need to give a little as well.

The unions have coerced the companies into wages and benefits that are unreasonable - they need to give a little of that excess back, they need to do their part. $2500+ of the price of each car they make is due to union benefits. No wonder the Big Three can't compete with imports! There is no justification for paying a forklift driver over $30/hour... I would suggest a 20% reduction in pay and benefits for every employee as part of any bailout plan. That would just be fair.

Michigan and other states that have auto plants can give a little, too, like a 20% reduction in property and business taxes.

The companies need to cut the fat and refocus their efforts toward making cars that are competitive with imports in design and economy. They should also be making cars with fuel options to include gasoline, ethanol, E85 and natural gas. With existing technology it can be done and switching can be automatic. Imagine a car with a 20 gallon fuel tank and natural gas system - how about a 800 -1000 range between fill-ups!

The rest of the country can help. As I said in my last post, we Americans should be buying American made cars. THAT would be patriotic - not paying higher taxes, as our demoncrat VP-elect suggested.

Here's another solution for the economy...

I'm in Florida. The economy is a wreck here, just like the rest of the country (thanks to the demoncrats). It's too late for a TVA-type project here, we're actually trying to restore the Everglades. So whatever will we do?

How about combining a TVA-type effort with a good idea from a great American, T. Boone Pickens? No, we don't have enough wind... and even though we're The Sunshine State, the cloud cover makes solar power inefficient...

But we do make a lot of trash with 17 million people... we have a large agriculture industry which generates waste... let's make electricity with it! We fill our landfills with trash - why not make electricity with it? We use coal, oil and natural gas to generate a lot of our power - let's replace some of that with some of the fuel we throw away every day.

Power bills would go down, trash collection fees would go down, power plant emissions would go down (yes, the technology exists to make Waste to Energy (WtE) plant emissions clean) and more people would be employed. It's so simple - why don't we do it?? Oh, yeah, it's the enviro- rrists and their bought-and-paid-for demoncrats...

Use the oil for gasoline, use the natural gas for cars, and use the coal to develop clean-coal technology. Oh - we'll have to expand the natural gas fueling stations in the state - 18 of them already existing aren't going to be enough... people can also put fueling stations in their garages, of course.

The jobs! Thousands of people building and operating power plants and transmission lines... building and running natural gas fueling stations... installing natural gas conversions in cars... improvements in agriculture...

Of course, with all those new jobs, the state will be collecting more revenues, so maybe our taxes would even go down (wishful thinking?)

11.12.08 Another day, stock market down again

Seems like the reality of a demoncrat president and majority in the congress has the markets worried...

Okay, my fellow Americans, it's time to take a little responsibility and take a little action to make things better: Buy American Made products!

Think about it - keep the money here, spend your money on things made here, so manufacturers and wholesalers and retailers will have to hire more people. There will be more people making a living and spending money. If they buy American, the cycle repeats.

Simple, isn't it? Buy American - do your part to fix this lousy, demoncrat-wrecked economy!

Still more on 11.05.08

I have been known to say, a time or two, "don't complain about a problem unless you can offer a solution".

So, before you completely wreck the economy, BHO, use this idea to create jobs: for every new job, rebate half of the income tax that new employee pays back to the hiring company. Simple, right? If a truck driver or assembly worker is hired and falls in the 20% tax bracket, rebate the company 10% of his wages. Good for the new employee, good for the company, good for the country.

Here's another idea, to help with your promise to "take a scalpel to the federal budget": stop payments for nothing, like paying farmers NOT to grow crops. How stupid is that? If the market can't support the crops, grow something else! Duh!

Okay, one more: stop the tax breaks for companies that operate overseas to avoid US taxes. 'Nuff said there.

Here's a thought on education: too much of the money spent on public education is spent on bureaucracy and administration. If we can cut back on the administration and shift the money to pay teachers and pay for supplies, education will improve. Also, since our students are lagging students in many other countries, add an hour of instruction to every school day. Five hours a week will allow time for a second language, physical education, geometry, etc. You just have to shut the unions up - better yet - get rid of them. It'll be better for all our kids!

Illegal immigrants... your own aunt is one and she's living in subsidized housing! She was told to leave four years ago by a judge, but she's still here. And she got subsidized housing - how in the world does that happen??? (The fact that she and you broke the law when she donated $260 to your campaign doesn't really matter in this rant.) The problem is that we don't enforce the law. The first thing we (the country) needs to do is to enforce the law because the illegals are making the economy worse. Then, revise the law to make it easier and take less time. But, make it a requirement that they learn the language! Make them legal, collect taxes and social security from them, so they are not such a burden on society.

I'll have more to say soon...

More on 11.05.08

The demoncrats gained seats in the house and senate - this blows me away - the demoncratic-controlled congress of 2006 - 2008 obtained the lowest approval rating in history: 9. Yes, single-digits, and way lower than President Bush's lowest approval rating.

What are people thinking??? Evidently, they are not.

Hey, what is this "civilian security force" that BHO is talking about? The last people that implemented that kind of program were... Hitler and Castro! WTF???

November 5 2008

Well, we're screwed. The demoncrats have won the white house and a large majority of the congress. We're going to watch them close, because of the threat they pose to our freedoms and the economy.

BHO promised no tax increase for 95% of Americans. I'm going to watch, and I invite you to watch, to see if he keeps that promise. If not, I'm going to make a lot of noise in four years.

I can't believe those idiots in Massachusettes re-elected Barney Frank! Isn't ANYONE up there paying attention??? And California - what's up with re-electing Pelosi??? That's at least as stupid as re-electing Frank! Dammit!

The demoncrats are a threat to our 401(k) plans. There is talk about taking away the tax deduction for contributors and employers. The plan is to replace it with a mandatory 5% pay reduction, controlled by the government, paying a measly 3% interest. The government is going to add a measly $600/year to this account. The net effect will be most retirees will not have enough money to live on, because there will be no real incentive to save. BOHICA

The demoncrats are a threat to free speech. They are talking about the so-called "fairness doctrine", which will require media to GIVE equal time to opposing views when broadcasted. The target is talk radio, which is mostly conservatives, because the liberals attempt at talk radio is a dismal failure. They can't earn it, so they want to force it. Broadcasters get paid for airtime - if they have to give half of it away, they won't make any money and go out of business. So much for improving the economy, tolerance and free speech. BOHICA

My biggest concern is what the demoncrat liberals are going to do with religious broadcasting. The constitution guarantees us freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion! They would shut down all religious broadcasting, tax churches, and basically try to turn the United States into an atheist state. That cannot happen! 55 of the 58 people who signed the Declaration of Independence were Christian. They didn't make this a Christian-only nation, they allowed for religious freedom. Why won't the demoncrats?

There are many more topics that I will cover, and I invite your comments.

God bless you, and God Bless America (even the demoncrats!)
